Unit 2 | Voice as Revelatory of Our Identity

For this assignment I decided to explore the concept of voice as revelatory of our identities. Last week's section intrigued me when discussing with my partner how we identified with our voices and whether or not we thought they revealed what we looked/acted like if someone were to only hear our voice. As a communication major, the idea of identity is very important to me and my studies, but I had never considered the role the voice plays in shaping that identity before. The picture I drew to me illustrates the idea that our voices are all unique. I drew different shaped heads/lips with different colors, and inside the speak bubbles I drew the pattern I thought represented how those shapes voices would look. Personally, I am drawn to colors, patterns and line drawings, so that is how I wanted to express this concept.
